South Africa, e-News: Most people regard modern technology, such as cell phones, as absolutely essential but some (like Alwyn Lewies) do everything in their power to escape the effects of this technology. Out of necessity.
The problem began in 2000 when a cell phone tower was erected at Alwyn’s workplace in Wapadrand, Pretoria. A cell phone company was interested in putting up a tower on his premises and he was assured that the tower would have no negative health effect. Unfortunately this was far from the truth, but he didn’t know better at the time. Shortly after the erection of the first tower, another one appeared only 80 meters away and four months after these installations, Alwyn’s first symptoms started to occur….
